As an 8-year old, I loved it. It combines humour and sadness in a magically effective way. The narrative is beautiful, the imagery very rich. The music is delightful. The characters are convincing in their roles and their personalities are well developed. The plot/idea is brilliant, really imaginative. The landscapes are gorgeous and the film is visually enticing. The scenes are invariably powerful. Princess Kaguya, the heroine in the story has a lot of courage and determination to do this part. I also liked other characters: they were interesting, deep, and some of them were very funny. The movie makes you laugh, think, reflect, and sometimes even cry. There is a lot of emotion and compassion in the story. In summary, everything about this movie was simply perfect and I hope all children in the world could see it- it's marvelous! This is one of the best movies I've seen. I definitely recommend this movie to everyone.

Omg yesss this is one of my favourite SG films and it always annoyed me that only 2 of their films wernt in english (the other being ocean waves) but this is the one i love. arrghh so happy they finally deceided to release this in english (and how did i not know about this sooner. This reminds me of a book I read, called Doll in the Garden. It's a really beautiful ghost story, but really sad. Very good video.

Here, in Brazil, the people doesn't give the studio ghibli movies the credit it deserves ( sometimes people make fun of me when I tell them I enjoy watching animes xD) which makes me really sad. But I must say Spirited Away is my all time favorite. It is truly legendary, the first time I watched it was when I was 10.
